Piping Stress Engineer with academic background of Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with good understanding of various ASME/ IBR codes & extensive experience in stress Analysis using CEASER/ AUTOPIPIE

Job Description:

  • Require knowledge of codes and standards used in the process & power industry. i.e. ASME, API, OISD, NEMA etc.
  • Capable to prepare Pipe stress line list & PID’s
  • Shall have hands of experience in piping detail engineering project from start to end
  • Capable to conduct pipe stress analysis of static / dynamic critical piping systems independently as per ASME B31.3, B31.1 standards using CEASER/ AutoPipe/ROHR software.
  • Capable to do pipe support selection, special support design & transfer of piping loads to civil & mechanical.
  • Capable to conduct Piping Calculations – Trunnion check by Kellogg method, flange leakage check by Peq, Detail Analysis methods, PSV reaction forces, WRC 107-297, tank settlement & bulging, bellow thrust forces, underground piping.
  • Capable to prepare piping material specification.
  • Capable to prepare design calculations (PT Rating / Pipe Thickness / Miter Bend / Reinforcement Pad / Bolt Length etc.)
  • Familiar with material grades for corrosion resistant alloy (CRA), SS, alloy steels, CS, non-metallic materials etc. 
  • Capable to prepare datasheets & material requisitions for valves, special piping components & pipe supports.
  • Shall be excellent in MTO management & control using excel for pipe, elbows & other fittings, valves, flanges, strainers & other special piping items, pipe Insulation, Inch-Dia calculation etc.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of ASME / EN standards.
  • Familiar with power plant detail engineering workflow.
